Reviews/Feedback:
Viagra: After starting several different medications as a result of a heart attack at 41 years of age I started having some trouble getting an erection and maintaining it during sex with my wife. Finally at age 46 my family doctor put me on 50 mg. of viagara which didn't really seem to help. After increasing the dosage to 100mg. it has proven effective at least 90% of the time.
Viagra: I find that I have good results by taking only a half of a 50mg pill before I eat a meal. I was getting an upset stomach when I took it after dinner. I get a little face flushing, but no other effects. It has worked every time.
Viagra: I first began having problems maintaing an erection 7 years ago after having first stent placed in corinary arteries. After one year of stuggling with it I mentioned it to my Internst, who just smiled and said he wondered when I would mention it. ED seems to be very common with CAD and all meds that go along with it. Gave me samples of Viagra and Cialis. Viagra is d.rug of choice because the erections I get while using it are much harder than those I get from Cialis. Not knocking Cialis, still use it on occasion, but Viagra is the drug of choice for me
Viagra: The most difficult part of using this drug is the correct timing in determing the peak performance window
Viagra: I've used 50 mg of viagra for several years. I find that it works faster and better on an empty stomach. My wife likes the better erections. Makes us act like we were in our 20's again.
Viagra: Needed to sustain erection longer for my wife. It worked. 50mg - only side effect to note in nasal congestion but that is a small price to pay for longevity. I am 35, but it makes my member 21 again.
Viagra: Very effective. Take without food to help absorption quickly and last longer. Effect does *not* run out in 4 hours. I have taken as little as 10-15 mg and felt the benefits for well over 12 hours. This of course will be different for everyone. Would recommend starting with a very, very low dose. My first dose of 25mg made my penis hurt due to the long lasting and persistent erections. Here are my recommendations and items to consider based on my personal experience: 1. Take without food 1 hour before love-time. It takes a bit to kick in. I have always felt a little "preview" effect of Viagra in about 15 minutes....but then it really kicks in after an hour. To get the Viagra flowing through your penis, manipulate yourself a little (may not take much...just an extra few giggles in the restroom). 2. Drink lots of water. Dehydration is BAD for erections. 3. Pop a couple of tums or rolaids. Viagra can make your stomach acidic. 4. Pop a breath mint as it can give you tart breath. 5. Take a very, very low dose the first time. Also, take it while you are alone so you can get used to how much you really need and the benefits. DON'T take it for the first time with your partner. 6. Don't take it too often because it can make your prostate swell up. So don't take it every other day so you can masturbate for 3 hours. 7. Headaches are common...pop a couple Advil with it. 8. Once you are having sex, it will keep your erection going even if what you are doing doesn't feel that good. This is BAD. You don't want to get used to having sex in positions that don't feel good to you, since your erection will continue, but you may not be able to "get back into it" and have an orgasm. Certainly, there are times when this may be okay, but it gets awkward when you are in bed with a woman, have a rock hard erection, and you can't have an orgasm. Women ask questions. And if she doesn't know you are taking Viagra, she will probably figure it out. Good luck!!!
Viagra: I am 45 and I use viagra 50mg. It usually works very well, but sometimes I am disappointed. For me it works best on an empty stomach about an hour before sex. It gives me a headache, but the headache is gone by morning. It's fun to get erections with very little stimulation again like when I was younger.
Viagra: This is a great drug, I sm so glad my doctur is letting me try it
Viagra: So far it is working good for me. Only used it twice and was able to finish the job each time. no side effects so far.

Warnings/Precautions

Do not take Viagra, if you are also using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems, including nitroglycerin (Nitrostat, Nitrolingual, Nitro-Dur, Nitro-Bid, Minitran, Deponit, Transderm-Nitro), isosorbide dinitrate (Dilatrate-SR, Isordil, Sorbitrate), and isosorbide mononitrate (Imdur, ISMO, Monoket), or recreational drugs such as amyl nitrate or nitrite ("poppers").

Before taking Viagra, tell your doctor about all other medications you use for erectile dysfunction, or if you are using any of the following medications:

* bosentan (Tracleer);
* a blood thinner such as warfarin (Coumadin);
* cimetidine (Tagamet, Tagamet HB);
* an antibiotic such as erythromycin (E-Mycin, Eryc, Ery-Tab) or clarithromycin (Biaxin);
* doxazosin (Cardura), prazosin (Minipress), Terazosin (Hytrin);
* HIV medicines such as amprenavir (Agenerase), tipranavir (Aptivus), darunavir (Prezista), efavirenz (Sustiva), nevirapine (Viramune), indinavir (Crixivan), saquinavir (Invirase, Fortovase), lopinavir/ritonavir (Kaletra), fosamprenavir (Lexiva), ritonavir (Norvir), atazanavir (Reyataz), or nelfinavir (Viracept);
* an antifungal medication such as itraconazole (Sporanox) or ketoconazole (Nizoral);
* carbamazepine (Tegretol), phenobarbital (Luminal), or phenytoin (Dilantin); or
* rifampin (Rifadin, Rimactane) or rifabutin (Mycobutin).

Tell your doctor about all the prescriptions and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.

If you have heart problems severe enough to make sexual activity a dangerous, you should avoid using Viagra. Use it cautiously, if you've had a heart attack, stroke, or life-threatening heart irregularities within the past 6 months. Be equally cautious, if you have severe high or low blood pressure, heart failure or unstable angina.

In case of cardiac symptoms developing (for example, dizziness, nausea, and chest pain) during sexual activity, do not continue. Tell your doctor about the problem as soon as possible.

If you have a condition that might result in long-lasting erections, such as sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma (a disease of the bone marrow), or leukemia, use Viagra with caution. Also use cautiously if you have a genital problem or deformity such as Peyronie's disease. If an erection lasts more than 4 hours, seek treatment immediately. Permanent damage and impotence could result.

If you have a bleeding disorder, a stomach ulcer, or the inherited eye condition known as retinitis pigmentosa, use Viagra with caution. Its safety under these circumstances has not been studied yet.
