Reviews/Feedback:
Lamisil: 1 tablet daily for 15 weeks. I would have stayed on longer if I didn't experience the vertigo. I just wanted to ensure that the fungus would not come back. But it was 3 months before vertigo became an issue.
Lamisil: I am about 9 weeks into a 12 week therapy. I have a mild toenail infection which I tried to cure on my own for a year. I just recently noticed that I couldn't taste sweet things anymore and suspected the Lamisil...really relieved to see it is a side effect and not something else going wrong. I also recently switched from taking it at night to taking it in the morning so will follow other's advice of night time dosing and hope it helps... Other wise I will finish the dosage and use this opportunity to stop eating for comfort and hope the fungus never comes back...that is something I don't want to live with...
Lamisil: I had darkening toe nails that looked very unattractive. Me wife made me see the doctor for to see if there was something that could help. I did not want to use medication because of possible side efects.I must say after 3 months I see tremedous results and finished taking the meds orally. It should continue to work over time.My 12yr. old daugther had nail fungus also, she used the meds before I did and she is very happy with the results of the meds.
Lamisil: I have taken the generic for 2 months and my toenails have almost cleared completely but have now started to itch. My next 30 day treatment would be after 30 days off. My Dr did tell me if I wore any of the shoes I had worn when I had the nail fungus I would get it again. He said the only thing to do would be was to get rid of them (all shoes I had worn) or to try to use a foot spray to treat the inside. He said he knew it wasn't something women wanted to hear but the fungus would continue to live in the shoes because of the moisture from our feet even in sandals. And to stay away from nail salons that I didn't know very well and that didn't have very high state health scores.
Lamisil: I'm going into my second week w/ Lamisil but the generic version ($20 bucks @ costco 45day supply VS. $120 at walgreens and $900 for brand!!) so far i do see improvement, I am also treating my nail w/ antifungal creams at night before i go to bed. The first 2 days taking it, the pills made really sick to my stomach, especially on a empty stomach so i started to take them w/ food but they got me really tired and hungry. I asked my doc if i could take them at night and he was ok w/ it. Now i am having hip pain sometimes so bad it wakes me at night. . . its not all the time, its been getting better and now i dont have side effects. overall the pill is making a diffrence on my nail and if i eat a banana or something before bed I dont get too many side effects... Oh if you read the side effects for this pill, the taste in foods thing is true, for a while i had a metal taste in my mouth, but thats all gone.
Lamisil: I am now into my 3rd month on this med. I swore myself off any type of liquor during the time I am on this medication, so that I could avoid ill effects to my liver. I have been taking monthly blood tests, just to keep on top of it. So far, my feet seem much softer and my nails are now pink in color. The one side effect that I have noticed began in the 2nd half of the second month that I was taking the med. My taste is skewed. Our reverse osmosis water even had a funny taste! Until I figured out that it was a result of the med, I had the repairmen replace our filter! I can't taste sweet, salty or spicy! Foods taste very bland to me! So maybe you could say a good side effect of this drug is mild weight loss!!! Hopefully, this will not be a permanent side effect! Anyone out there have this effect? Hopefully, in about 3 weeks when I am done with the treatment, I will have my taste restored, and shortly thereafter have the beautiful toenails I so desire!
Lamisil: i have been taking the generic brand for about 5 weeks. the affected nail is much improved! i have had some nasseau; but none of the other symptoms. i'm very pleased with progress so far. waiting for nail to grow out normally. not sure if i'm supposed to take with food, but i do.
Lamisil: I have been on the generic for Lamisil for 5 weeks. I have only one side effect, stomach cramping, which lasted 1 day. I haven't had any other side effects. I am waiting to see results in the appearance of my toenails.
Lamisil: I am a critical care RN who is very suspicious of any medication. But I used this for 3 months every day for toenail fungus that I have had for 10 years. Now 3 weeks after my 3 months my toenail fungus is going away(nail is growing out normal). I had no serious side effects but was very careful and did not take any other medications or drink any alcohol during my treatment period. It's important to take as directed and to decrease your risk of liver failure by not ingesting alcohol or other medications because that increases your liver's workload. Also if you have any liver dysfunction to begin with like hepatitis do not take this medication. I had no loss of taste. At the beginning of treatment I had some stomach symptoms like gas, diarrhea but it went away after a couple of weeks. I would give it 5/5 stars but I don't know if it has worked completely yet.
Lamisil: When I saw the doctor 10 or so years ago, My nails were so bad, it was hard to look at them. The nails were thin and undernieth there was the infection of pus, so much that I had to clip the nails down and even pull one off; which wasnt difficult, because it was so weak, it just came right off. But after I took the lamisil, they grew back better, eventually.
