Reviews/Feedback:
Famvir: Taken as a pill three times a day.
Famvir: I've experienced no side effects.
Famvir: This drug has worked wellfor me for several years when two other types of antivirals at higher doses did not. I haven't noticed any side effects.
Famvir: I had no side effects and the medicine worked well.
Famvir: Unfortunately infected since 1979, before I had ever heard of the std. Used all the early treatments with very little effect until famvir came along. It works well for me provided I start it at the earliest sign of infection. If not results are the same as if not taking it at all. Overall I'm satisfied with the medication. Have never experienced any side effects.
Famvir: I have never experienced any negative side-effect. I have not had an episode for over 2 years. Many thanks to my Dr and Famvir.
Famvir: I used to get 2 or 3 outbreaks a year lasting a week to 10 days. I started using Famvir 10/12 years ago and noticed much shorter, easier outbreaks with much more time between. Just having my 1st in almost 2 years. No noticable side effects. One of the few things that are worth the cost.
Famvir: Valtrex didn't work one bit for me. I have been taking Famvir for about 2 years and it has seriously reduced the severity and frequency of my breakouts. I have the confidence to share real intimacy with my partner- we've been together 1 1/2 yrs- and he is free from any hint of infection as well. I was able to deliver my daughter vaginally because of Famvir as well. I had some side effects to start- but they went away after my body got used to it. I could not live a normal, happy life without it! I am very grateful.
Famvir: Famvir is Fantastic My doctor is treating my FMS by also going the anti-viral route and I am extremely pleased with the results I have had, thus far, with Famvir. I take 250 mgs. per day and have been taking this medication for about six weeks. There's something to it. Even my skin and my face seems to be better. Most doctors have samples of Famvir handy, so you might want to ask your doctor for some samples to try the next time you have an appointment!
Famvir: Famvir helped for awhile I used Famvir for about 2 months with some success. I had EBV and other viral re-activations so my doctor suggested Famvir. I read a lot about people using it on the net for FMS, so i was hopeful. It helped some some symptoms, and I am sure viruses are part of FM. I didn't recover, and I did go through some herxing (head pain, neuropathies). For about 3 weeks I was very close to pain-free, but eventually this med lost its effectiveness I think and I just gave up. The one thing it did help, that was most bothersome was the swollen lymph nodes I have had forever. They didn't hurt and they got much smaller.

I should say this medicine is worth a try, cause it helps some people a lot.
