Aciphex: My heartburn is triggered by many foods, not just spicy ones, but the Aciphex keeps the burn away even when I do eat spicy food or drink red wine. My biggest issue is that it takes more than 2 0r 3 doses over the same amount of days to feel any relief, and as soon as you stop taking it - the burn is back. It's also pricy, even with insurance.
Aciphex: 1 pill twice a day with meals with lots of liquids.
Aciphex: I took this for about three months. Sleeping on an incline and dietary changes (no pop, caffeine or alcohol) relieved pain that was so bad I thought I had a heart problem.
Aciphex: this medication has worked for me
Aciphex: take daily and helps with heart burn and acid reflux
Aciphex: I have been on this medication for over 5 yrs now. Recently I was unable to get this med from my pharmacy because my insurance didn't want to pay for it - I had to get my physician to call in and approve it - ( this happened a few time in the yrs of my treatment ) Since there isn't a generic - the insurance companies are giving their patients a difficult time on long term use. I went without the aciphex for 7 days - and became really ill. LOTS of heartburn and feeling sick esp after eating. I finally got it filled from my pharmacy and feel alot better - I wish I didn't have to take it - or - could find a generic - but have tried others - and this one works the best for me. The insurance companies need to WAKE UP! Not all meds are created equal!!
Aciphex: For many experienced acid refex and used otc tums tablets. After seeing doctor for scope of throat he gave me prescription for Aciphex while waiting for throat scope.
Aciphex: 20 mg. taken daily. Highly effective for treatment of GERD. Unfortunately, resulting severe pain and weakness forced me to discontinue medication.
Aciphex: This is the only medication that has really helped my GERD and suspected ulcer symptoms. Despite the high cost and the side effects (which I also have)I am using it until I can get in for a scope (in 2 months)MY PHARMACIST SAYS IT COMES OUT IN GENERIC FORM IN oCTOBER 2010.
